The Italeri 1/72 AW-101 Merlin HM.1 (1486) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the AgustaWestland AW101 Merlin in Royal Navy HM.1 anti-submarine warfare configuration. The Merlin HM.1 replaced the Sea King in the carrier-based ASW role and is equipped with advanced sonar, radar, and torpedoes for hunting submarines. Its three-engine design provides excellent reliability and the folding rotor and tail allow compact storage aboard ships. Italeri's kit captures the Merlin in Royal Navy dipping sonar and ASW configuration.
