The ICM 1/144 U-Boat Type IIB 1939 German Submarine (ICMS009) is a 1/144 scale model kit of the Type IIB U-boat in its 1939 configuration — the small 'dugout canoe' coastal submarine that made up a significant part of the Kriegsmarine's U-boat force at the start of WWII. Though small and limited in range, the Type IIBs operated successfully in the North Sea and the 1939 configuration captures the submarine as it appeared in the first months of the Battle of the Atlantic.
