The ICM 1/72 Dornier Do 17Z-10 WWII German Night Fighter Plane (ICM72303) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the Do 17Z-10 'Kauz II' — the night fighter variant of the Flying Pencil with a solid gun nose replacing the glazed bomber nose. The Kauz II was equipped with Spanner Anlage infrared detection equipment for locating RAF bombers radiating heat from their engines in the dark. One of Germany's earliest night fighter types, it pioneered techniques later refined by more sophisticated designs.
