About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/700 USS Seawolf SSN-21 (87003) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of USS Seawolf, lead boat of the US Navy's Seawolf class nuclear powered attack submarines. It is a small, quick build ideal for a 1/700 fleet.
Designed at the end of the Cold War to outclass Soviet submarines, the Seawolf class was exceptionally quiet and heavily armed. Rising costs cut the planned fleet to just three boats, and Seawolf herself was commissioned in 1997. Each boat carries an unusually large torpedo room with eight wide torpedo tubes, and Seawolf remains one of the most capable attack submarines in the US fleet.
