Hobby Boss 1/700 Ships - USS Los Angeles SSN-688 Attack Submarine - 87014

The Hobby Boss 1/700 USS SSN-688 Los Angeles (87014) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of USS Los Angeles, lead boat of the US Navy's Los Angeles class nuclear powered attack submarines. It builds quickly into a neat 1/700 model.

Commissioned in 1976, Los Angeles led a class of 62 boats, more than any other nuclear submarine design. The 688s hunted Soviet submarines throughout the late Cold War and many remain in service. The class was designed for high speed carrier escort and anti submarine work, and later boats added Tomahawk land attack missiles, broadening their role well beyond submarine hunting into strike and intelligence gathering missions.

Key Features
