Hobby Boss 1/35 Military - US T34 Heavy Tank - 84513

The Hobby Boss 1/35 US T34 Heavy Tank (84513) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the American T34 heavy tank, a late 1940s prototype armed with a 120 mm gun.

Developed from the T29 and T30 designs, the T34 used a 120 mm gun derived from an anti aircraft weapon to defeat heavily armoured opponents. Only prototypes were built. Its huge cast turret and long barrel made the T34 one of the largest American tanks of the period, and its development helped inform the later M103 heavy tank. Surviving examples of related designs can be seen in museums today. Note that the American T34 heavy tank is unrelated to the Soviet T-34 medium tank; the shared number is a coincidence.
