About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 US GMC CCKW 352 Steel Cargo Truck (83831) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the American GMC CCKW 352, the short wheelbase Second World War 6x6 cargo truck known as the deuce and a half, fitted with an all steel cargo body.
More than half a million CCKW trucks were built, carrying fuel, ammunition and troops on every front, and they were the backbone of the Red Ball Express supplying the Allied advance across France. Cargo bodies were built in both steel and wood during production, and later trucks introduced an open cab. The CCKW was so reliable that it remained in service with many armies for years after the war. Loading it with stowage or figures creates a lively supply scene for any WWII diorama.
