About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.VI Sd.Kfz.182 Tiger II Henschel 105mm (84559) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the German Second World War King Tiger heavy tank, shown with its production Henschel turret armed with a proposed 10.5 cm main gun instead of the usual 8.8 cm KwK 43.
German designers studied this heavier gun late in the war to keep the Tiger II ahead of improving Allied armour, but the idea never went into production, which makes this an unusual subject for collectors of late war Panzer projects.
