About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Lvkv 9040 Anti Air Vehicle (84507) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Swedish Lvkv 9040, the self propelled air defence variant of the modern CV90 tracked vehicle family.
Armed with a Bofors 40 mm automatic cannon and carrying a search radar, the Lvkv 9040 was designed to protect mechanised units on the move from aircraft and helicopters. Developed in Sweden by Hägglunds and Bofors, the CV90 family entered service in the 1990s and has since been adopted by several European armies. Sweden pursued an air defence version early in the programme, reflecting its emphasis on protecting ground forces from air attack. Swedish vehicles wear a striking splinter camouflage that rewards careful masking and gives this model real visual punch.
