About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 SPz Puma (83899) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the German Schützenpanzer Puma, the modern tracked infantry fighting vehicle of the Bundeswehr.
Developed by Rheinmetall and Krauss Maffei Wegmann to replace the Marder, the Puma combines modular armour with a remotely operated turret and 30 mm cannon, making it one of the best protected vehicles of its class. The Puma entered Bundeswehr service in the 2010s with a crew of three and room for six dismounted infantry. Different armour packages allow it to be configured for air transport or for maximum protection in combat, and it also carries a coaxial machine gun and an anti tank missile system. Its angular hull and sheer size set it apart from earlier infantry fighting vehicles.
