About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Soviet T-60 Light Tank (84555) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Soviet T-60, a Second World War two man light tank built in large numbers in 1941 and 1942.
Simple to make in automotive factories after the German invasion, the T-60 carried a 20 mm cannon and served in reconnaissance and infantry support roles. The T-60 replaced the amphibious T-40 and used many commercial automotive components, which allowed several factories to build it quickly. Its thin armour made it vulnerable, but it was cheap and easy to produce at a time when the Red Army urgently needed tanks. Its layout was developed further into the T-70 light tank, which replaced it in production during 1942.
