Hobby Boss 1/72 Military - Soviet 9K714 Oka SS-23 Spider - 82926

The Hobby Boss 1/72 Soviet 9K714 Oka (SS-23 Spider) (82926) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Soviet 9K714 Oka, a Cold War tactical ballistic missile system on a wheeled launch vehicle. NATO knew it as the SS-23 Spider.

Introduced in the 1980s, the Oka could strike targets around 400 to 500 km away with high accuracy. Although its range was arguably below the treaty threshold, the Soviet Union agreed to eliminate the system under the 1987 INF Treaty. The missile could carry conventional or nuclear warheads, and its elimination remains one of the best known episodes of Cold War arms control.
