About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 9M96 of 50P6E TEL S350E Vityaz (85529) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the 50P6E self propelled launcher of the Russian S-350E Vityaz medium range surface to air missile system, carrying 9M96 family missiles.
Developed by Almaz-Antey to complement the S-300 and S-400, the Vityaz was first shown publicly in 2013 and its launcher holds far more ready missiles than earlier Russian designs. The system is intended to replace older S-300PS batteries, and the 50P6E launcher works with dedicated radar and command post vehicles. Its vertical missile canisters and large wheeled chassis make this one of the most imposing modern Russian air defence subjects available as a kit.
