About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Russian KrAZ-260 Cargo Truck (85510) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the KrAZ-260, a Soviet era 6x6 heavy military cargo truck and artillery tractor of the late Cold War.
Built at the Kremenchuk plant in Ukraine from 1979, the KrAZ-260 carried stores and towed heavy artillery for the Soviet Army, and many remain in service in former Soviet states. Powered by a turbocharged YaMZ V8 diesel, the KrAZ-260 replaced the older KrAZ-255 and could carry around nine tonnes across rough ground. Its long bonnet, big single tyres and open cargo body make it an imposing presence beside Soviet artillery or in a convoy scene.
