Hobby Boss 1/72 Military - Russian BM-21 Grad Late Version - 82932

The Hobby Boss 1/72 Russian BM-21 Grad Late Version (82932) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Soviet and Russian BM-21 Grad 122mm truck mounted multiple rocket launcher in its later form. The newly tooled kit includes rubber tyres and masks for the glazing.

Grad, meaning hail, fires a ripple of 122mm rockets from a bank of 40 tubes. Introduced in the 1960s, its simplicity and firepower saw it exported to scores of countries. Mounted on a Ural truck chassis, the launcher can fire its full load in about twenty seconds and then drive away before counter battery fire arrives. It has seen action in conflicts from Afghanistan to Africa and the Middle East, and remains one of the most widely used rocket systems in the world.
