About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Russian BAZ-64022 with 5P85TE2 TEL S-400 (85517) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the launcher of the Russian S-400 Triumf long range surface to air missile system, comprising the BAZ-64022 6x6 tractor and the 5P85TE2 launcher semitrailer.
The S-400 entered Russian service in 2007. Its 5P85TE2 semitrailer carries four large missile canisters that are raised vertically for launch. The system can engage aircraft, cruise missiles and ballistic targets at long range, and it has been exported to several countries including China, India and Turkey. A battery is made up of several launchers working with radar and command vehicles. The combination of tractor, semitrailer and canisters produces a very large model with real presence on the shelf.
