Hobby Boss 1/72 Military - Russian A-222 Bereg 130mm Coastal Gun - 82938

The Hobby Boss 1/72 Russian A-222 Bereg 130mm Coastal Gun (82938) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Russian A-222 Bereg self propelled 130mm coastal defence artillery system. The naval gun turret sits on a MAZ eight wheeled chassis.

Developed in the late 1980s, the Bereg covers waters too close in for coastal missiles and remains in service with the Russian Navy. Each Bereg battery combines several gun vehicles with a command and fire control vehicle, letting the guns engage fast moving surface targets at sea. Its 130mm gun is derived from Soviet naval artillery. The tall eight wheeled vehicle looks particularly impressive in a coastal diorama setting.
