Hobby Boss 1/72 Military - Russian 4K51 Rubezh Coastal Missile System - 82937

The Hobby Boss 1/72 Russian 4K51 Rubezh (82937) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Soviet 4K51 Rubezh mobile coastal defence anti ship missile system, armed with the P-15 missile. It is newly tooled and builds to almost 20cm long.

Adopted in the late 1970s, the Rubezh carries two P-15 family missiles, the Styx lineage also used on missile boats, together with its own targeting radar on a heavy eight wheeled chassis. Each Rubezh launcher worked independently, finding targets with its own radar mast raised above the cab. Systems were exported to several navies, and some remain in coastal service today. The large eight wheeled vehicle makes a striking companion to other Hobby Boss 1/72 Cold War missile launchers.
