About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 RSOV with MK 19 Grenade Launcher (82449) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the US Army Ranger Special Operations Vehicle, a modern Land Rover Defender 110 based patrol vehicle armed with a MK 19 automatic grenade launcher.
The RSOV was adopted by the 75th Ranger Regiment for fast, lightly armed patrols and saw service in Afghanistan and Iraq. Each RSOV carried a crew of Rangers with heavy and light machine guns, anti tank weapons and stowage piled high for long missions, and the vehicle could be carried inside transport aircraft or helicopters. The MK 19 automatic grenade launcher gave it considerable firepower for its size. It makes a lively centrepiece for a modern desert or mountain diorama.
