About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Romanian TACAM T-60 (84556) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Romanian TACAM T-60, a Second World War tank destroyer converted from captured Soviet T-60 light tanks.
Romanian engineers removed the T-60 turret and mounted a captured Soviet 76.2 mm gun behind an open topped shield, and the vehicles served on the Eastern Front from 1943. TACAM stands for Tun Anticar pe Afet Mobil, Romanian for anti tank gun on a mobile mount. Romania built several TACAM conversions on different captured or obsolete chassis, reflecting the country's urgent need for mobile anti tank guns. Built alongside the Hobby Boss Soviet T-60 (84555), this kit shows the original tank and its conversion side by side.
