About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 PLA ZTQ-15 Light Tank (84577) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the ZTQ-15, also known as the Type 15, a modern Chinese light tank built for the People's Liberation Army's high altitude and mountain units.
Armed with a 105mm gun and fitted with modular add on armour, the ZTQ-15 was designed for plateau and difficult terrain where heavier tanks struggle. Its turbocharged diesel engine and hydropneumatic suspension help it keep its power in thin mountain air, and it was officially revealed around 2018 before taking part in parades and exercises across western China. Export versions have since been offered as the VT5, and the angular hull and turret make a striking modern subject.
