About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/72 Me 262 A-1a (80249) is a snap fit plastic model kit of the Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a Schwalbe, the German Luftwaffe twin jet fighter of 1944 and 1945.
History changed in 1944 when the Me 262 became the first jet fighter to enter operational service, and this kit puts the 'Schwalbe' within reach of any modeller. Its swept wing, twin Jumo turbojets and four 30mm cannon made it far faster than any Allied piston fighter, though fuel shortages and engine reliability limited its impact.
