About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Leopard C2 MEXAS with TWMP (84557) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Canadian Leopard C2 main battle tank with MEXAS add on armour and a Track Width Mine Plough, as used in Afghanistan.
The plough let the tank clear a path through buried mines and improvised explosive devices, protecting vehicles following behind on dangerous routes. MEXAS, or Modular Expandable Armour System, added modular armour panels to the hull and turret for extra protection in Afghanistan. The TWMP is a blade system fitted to the front of the tank that lifts and pushes aside soil and buried mines in the path of each track. Together they make a dramatic, heavily equipped subject for modern armour collections.
