About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/48 Lavochkin La-11 Fang (81760) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the La-11, a Soviet long range piston engined escort fighter of the early Cold War.
The La-11 was the final Lavochkin piston fighter to enter service, from 1947. It served with the Soviet Union, China and North Korea, including during the Korean War. Developed from the La-9, it had greater fuel capacity for escort missions and was armed with three 23 mm cannon. The La-11 also flew long range patrols in the Soviet Arctic and its clean radial engined lines make it an attractive subject for collectors of early Cold War piston fighters.
