About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Kursk Bailout From the Pocket (84417) is an injection moulded plastic figure set of German Second World War soldiers themed on the Battle of Kursk in July 1943.
Kursk was the vast armoured clash that marked the last major German offensive in the East, and figures in mid war summer uniform sit perfectly beside Tigers, Panthers and assault guns. Operation Citadel, launched on 5 July 1943, aimed to pinch out the Soviet salient around Kursk, but deep Soviet defences and the armoured battle at Prokhorovka halted the German attack. After Kursk the strategic initiative in the East passed firmly to the Red Army. Dusty steppe groundwork, dry grass and a knocked out vehicle make a dramatic backdrop for this set.
