Hobby Boss 1/72 Military - IDF Merkava Mk.IV - 82915

The Hobby Boss 1/72 IDF Merkava Mk.IV (82915) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Merkava Mk.IV, the Israeli Defence Forces main battle tank introduced in the 2000s.

Israel's Merkava Mk.IV is built around crew survival, with its engine at the front, modular armour and a rear door for the crew, and this kit captures it in compact form. Entering service in 2004, the Mk.IV introduced a 120mm smoothbore gun, an improved fire control system and new modular armour that can be replaced quickly in the field. The Merkava series has been designed and built in Israel since the late 1970s and the Mk.IV saw heavy use during the 2006 Lebanon War. Later vehicles gained the Trophy active protection system.
