About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/700 WWII U-Boat Type IXB (87006) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the German Kriegsmarine Type IXB ocean going U-boat of the Second World War. The kit can be built either full hull or waterline.
Only 14 Type IXB boats were built, yet together they sank more shipping than any other U-boat type. With six torpedo tubes and a 105mm deck gun, they ranged far into the Atlantic; U-107 was among the most successful. Type IX boats were larger than the more numerous Type VII, carrying more fuel and torpedoes for long patrols into the South Atlantic and off the coast of Africa.
