About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/72 German Panzerjägerwagen Vol.1 (82954) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the German Second World War anti tank wagon used in BP 44 armoured trains. It carries a Panzer IV turret with the 7.5cm KwK 40 L/48 gun.
The turret sat on an armoured casemate designed specifically for the train, and pairs of these wagons formed the main armament of each BP 44 train in the final years of the war. The BP 44 train was the final evolution of German armoured train design, adding these heavily armed wagons to deal with the growing threat from Soviet tanks. Combining the Hobby Boss Panzerjägerwagen with other wagons from the range lets you build a convincing train section, and the Vol.2 kit (82955) offers a further variant with skirts and a clearing blade.
