About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 German Iguana PSB 2 Bridge Layer (84569) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of a modern German armoured vehicle launched bridge based on the Leguan system. Leguan is German for iguana.
The Leguan can lay a span across a river or ditch in minutes without exposing its crew, keeping tanks and other vehicles moving, and it has been fitted to several carrier vehicles. Armoured bridge layers are vital to modern armies, letting armoured formations cross rivers, canals and anti tank ditches without waiting for engineers to build a bridge under fire. The Leguan system can carry either one long bridge or two shorter spans, which can be joined together. The finished model, with its bridge carried on top, makes an imposing centrepiece for a modern German armour collection, and it pairs well with Leopard 2 models.
