About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 French R35 Tank with FCM Turret (83894) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the French Second World War Renault R35 light infantry tank fitted with a welded turret from Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée (FCM).
The R35 was France's most numerous light tank of 1940; this unusual turret pairing offers an alternative to the familiar cast turret version. The R35 was designed by Renault as a two man light tank to support the infantry, with a cast hull and a small one man turret. Large numbers were exported, and after the fall of France the Germans used captured examples as gun carriers, training vehicles and security tanks.
