About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 French EBR-11 Wheeled Reconnaissance Vehicle (82490) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the French Panhard EBR, a Cold War eight wheeled armoured reconnaissance car. It includes photo etched parts and tyres.
Its central wheels could be lowered for rough ground, it could be driven equally fast in either direction, and its oscillating turret carried a powerful gun. Around 1,200 were built in the 1950s for the French Army. The EBR served in Algeria and across French territories in Africa, remaining in French Army service until the late 1980s, and was also used by Portugal and Morocco. Its unusual eight wheel layout, with metal central wheels, and its oscillating turret make it one of the most distinctive armoured cars ever built.
