About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Fieseler Fi 156U Storch (80184) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the German Second World War Fieseler Fi 156U, an anti submarine patrol variant of the famous Storch liaison aircraft.
The U variant kept the slow flying ability and excellent visibility of the standard Fi 156 but was adapted to carry a weapon beneath the fuselage for maritime patrol. The Fi 156 was built in large numbers through the war and also produced in France and Czechoslovakia, with the type remaining in use long after 1945. Its huge glazed cabin, folding wings and remarkable slow speed handling made it an outstanding observation platform. At 1/35 scale the Storch is a substantial model that sits naturally with armour and figures in a diorama.
