About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/48 F/A-18C Hornet (80321) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C, the single seat US Navy carrier strike fighter of the late Cold War and beyond.
Built around a busy carrier deck, this kit depicts the improved single seat Hornet that formed the backbone of US Navy and Marine Corps strike wings from the late 1980s. The C model added upgraded avionics and compatibility with newer weapons such as AMRAAM and Maverick, and it saw action from Desert Storm onwards before handing over to the Super Hornet.

- Two styles of engine nozzle with afterburner chambers and turbine faces
- Extensive ordnance: Sparrow, Sidewinder, SLAM, HARM, JDAM, Paveway and Mk 82 bombs plus three fuel tanks
- Targeting and navigation pods included
- Markings for three US Navy aircraft from VFA-131, VFA-195 and VFA-146
