About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/72 WZ-10 Thunderbolt (87260) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Chinese Changhe WZ-10, the first purpose designed attack helicopter of the People's Liberation Army. A photo etched fret is included.
The WZ-10 seats its crew in tandem in a narrow armoured fuselage and carries anti tank missiles, rockets and a chin mounted cannon. It entered service in the early 2010s. It was developed with a narrow tandem fuselage similar in concept to Western gunships like the Apache and Tiger, prioritising crew protection and a low profile. The type has been displayed at the Zhuhai airshow, Pakistan has evaluated it, and it has seen continued development since entering service.
