About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/144 Chinese GX-6 (83905) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Shaanxi GX-6 (Gaoxin 6, also known as KQ-200), a Chinese Navy anti submarine warfare patrol aircraft based on the Y-8. The kit includes photo etched details.
The GX-6 serves with the People's Liberation Army Navy and is recognisable by the long magnetic anomaly detector boom extending from its tail. Long range patrol aircraft like this are central to China's efforts to track foreign submarines in the waters around its coast, and the type carries a weapons bay for torpedoes.
