Hobby Boss 1/48 Aircraft - CH-47D Chinook - 81773

The Hobby Boss 1/48 CH-47D Chinook (81773) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Boeing CH-47D Chinook, the modernised tandem rotor heavy lift helicopter of the US Army and many allied forces.

From the early 1980s earlier Chinooks were rebuilt to D standard with more powerful engines and composite rotor blades, and the type served in conflicts from the Gulf to Afghanistan. The D model added a triple cargo hook system that allowed heavy loads to be carried slung beneath the helicopter, and it was exported to many countries including Australia, the Netherlands and Spain. Its rear ramp and spacious cargo cabin make it an excellent subject for display with figures and equipment.
