About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Bergepanzer BPz2A2 "Buffalo" ARV (84568) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the German Bergepanzer 2A2, the upgraded version of the Bundeswehr's Leopard 1 based armoured recovery vehicle.
The A2 upgrade improved the recovery equipment of the Bergepanzer 2 so that it could keep supporting German armoured units as heavier vehicles entered service, while retaining the proven Leopard 1 hull. Like the original Bergepanzer 2, the A2 combines a main winch, a slewing crane and a front dozer blade, allowing a three man crew to tow, lift and clear obstacles under armour protection. It is a natural centrepiece for a field workshop scene beside a Leopard tank with its engine removed.
