About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/35 Bergepanzer BPz2 "Buffalo" ARV (84567) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the German Bergepanzer 2, a Cold War armoured recovery vehicle built on the Leopard 1 tank hull.
Developed in the 1960s, the Bergepanzer 2 gave German tank battalions a fast, protected vehicle for towing, lifting and dozer work, and it went on to serve with many Leopard 1 operators worldwide. Its crane can lift a complete Leopard 1 power pack in the field, while the dozer blade doubles as a stabiliser during heavy lifts. Finished in Bundeswehr green or a multi colour scheme, it makes an excellent partner for a Leopard 1 in a workshop or recovery diorama.
