About this kit
The Hobby Boss 1/72 152mm ShKH Dana vz.77 (82941) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Czechoslovak Dana vz.77 152mm wheeled self propelled howitzer, built on a Tatra 815 8x8 truck chassis. It is a new tool released in 2023.
Introduced around 1980, the Dana was one of the first wheeled self propelled howitzers to enter large scale service, combining road speed with heavy firepower. It was adopted by Czechoslovakia, Poland and several export customers. Its fully enclosed armoured turret and automatic loading features made it unusually modern for its time, and the Dana could fire within minutes of stopping. Many have been upgraded, and the design led to the later Zuzana howitzer. The tall, boxy Dana makes an unusual addition to any collection of Warsaw Pact artillery.
