Dragon 1/72 Military - 1/72 M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System - D7707

The M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) is a wheeled, self-propelled rocket artillery system built on a five-ton FMTV truck chassis, developed to give the US Army and Marine Corps a lighter, C-130-transportable alternative to the tracked M270 MLRS launcher. It entered service in the mid-2000s and carries a single six-round launch pod capable of firing guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) rockets or a single ATACMS tactical missile.

HIMARS has become one of the most recognisable modern artillery systems in the world, having seen extensive combat use from Iraq and Afghanistan through to high-profile precision strikes in more recent conflicts, prized for its mobility, GPS-guided accuracy and rapid "shoot and scoot" capability.

Dragon's 1/72 scale kit reproduces the FMTV truck cab, armoured launcher module and elevating rocket pod with crisp, finely moulded detail, giving modellers an accurate, compact representation of this modern precision weapon system, complete with decals for authentic US military markings.

A striking modern subject that stands out on the shelf next to more traditional WWII armour, and a great pick for anyone building a contemporary US Army display.
