Dragon 1/72 Military - 1/72 Panther G Late Production - D7696

The Panther Ausf. G was the final and most numerous production model of Germany's PzKpfw V Panther medium tank, built from March 1944 through to the end of the war. It introduced a redesigned, fully sloped upper hull side plate that eliminated the vulnerable driver's shot trap of earlier Ausf. A and D versions, along with a simplified, more angular superstructure that sped up production.

This "late production" boxing captures the Panther G in its final wartime form, featuring the monocular TZF 13 gun sight aperture on the mantlet, the cast steel commander's cupola, a simplified single-piece idler wheel, and mounting points for the wire-mesh Thoma/Turmschurzen turret skirts fitted to protect against hollow-charge infantry weapons.

Despite the compact 1/72 scale, Dragon's engineering brings crisp panel lines, finely moulded interleaved road wheels and a full running-gear assembly, together with a decal sheet offering authentic German unit markings for the finished tank.
