About this kit
The Sd.Kfz.165 Hummel ("Bumblebee") was Germany's principal self-propelled heavy howitzer of WWII, mounting the powerful 15cm sFH 18/1 field gun on the same Geschützwagen III/IV hybrid chassis used by the Nashorn. Serving with Panzer division artillery regiments from 1943 onward, it provided mobile fire support able to keep pace with advancing armoured formations.
This Dragon 1/72 kit depicts the early production Hummel, identifiable by its original driver's compartment layout and running gear before the running changes introduced later in the production run. Dragon's engineering delivers crisp weld seams, an accurately shaped open-topped superstructure and a finely moulded 15cm barrel in this compact scale.
The kit includes a decal sheet for period-correct German markings plus clear instructions, giving a straightforward but detailed build.
Ideal for modellers assembling a WWII German artillery park or divisional support group alongside Dragon's other 1/72 Geschützwagen-based vehicles.
