About this kit
The M4A3E8 "Easy Eight" was the definitive late-war Sherman variant, combining the horizontal volute spring suspension (HVSS) and wide tracks with the punchier 76mm M1A1 gun, giving it markedly better mobility and firepower than earlier Shermans. Rushed back into front-line service when the Korean War broke out in June 1950, Easy Eights formed the backbone of US Army armoured units and proved their worth in tank-versus-tank actions against North Korean T-34-85s, most notably around the Naktong Bulge and during the drive north in late 1950.
Dragon's 1/72 kit reproduces the wide-track HVSS bogies, the distinctive 76mm gun with its counterweighted muzzle, and the late-production hull features that set the Easy Eight apart from earlier Shermans, using slide-mould tooling to keep detail crisp at this compact scale.
A decal sheet is included for Korean War-era US Army markings, letting builders depict this pivotal Sherman variant in the conflict where American armour first met the T-34 in large-scale combat.
A must-have for any 1/72 Korean War collection or for modellers assembling a Sherman family spanning WWII through to the early Cold War.
