About this kit
This kit depicts an earlier, mid-production Panzer IV, built before the Ausf.H's Schurzen side skirts became standard fitment, representing the tank in its cleaner, unshielded form as it appeared on operations from 1942 into 1943, when the Panzer IV's long-barrelled 7.5cm gun first gave German medium armour parity with the Soviet T-34.
Dragon's 1/72 rendition reflects this mid-production configuration, with period-correct running gear, hull stowage and turret detail distinct from the later, up-armoured versions, giving collectors a way to represent the type's evolution across the war.
The kit includes crisply moulded hull and turret components along with decals for authentic German unit markings of the period.
A useful companion piece to Dragon's later Ausf.H Schurzen-equipped kit, ideal for modellers wanting to show the Panzer IV's progressive up-gunning and up-armouring side by side.
