The Panzer IV Ausf.H was the most-produced variant of Germany's most numerous WWII medium tank, armed with the long 7.5cm KwK 40 L/48 gun capable of taking on Allied armour at range. Entering production in 1943, the Ausf.H was fitted from the factory with Schurzen, thin steel side and turret skirts designed to prematurely detonate Soviet anti-tank rifle rounds and shaped-charge projectiles before they could penetrate the hull armour.
Dragon's 1/72 kit captures the Ausf.H's revised drive sprocket, all-steel return rollers and the hallmark Schurzen plates hung along the hull sides and turret, along with the long-barrelled main gun rendered with fine muzzle brake detail.
