About this kit
The M3A2 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle combines the ODS (Operation Desert Storm) armour and electronics package with a scout-oriented interior carrying extra TOW missiles and ammunition instead of a dismount squad. Many M3A2s serving in Iraq were further protected with bolt-on explosive reactive armour (ERA) tiles to counter rocket-propelled grenades and shaped-charge threats encountered in urban operations.
Dragon's 1/72 kit renders this up-armoured cavalry variant with crisply moulded hull, turret and individual ERA tile parts, reproducing the M3's distinctive appliqué panels and two-man turret alongside the added reactive armour blocks in fine, slide-moulded detail.
The kit includes hull, turret and running-gear parts, ERA tile components, a decal sheet for US cavalry markings, and an instruction manual.
