About this kit
The StuG III Ausf.G was the final and most numerous production version of Germany's StuG III assault gun family, and with roughly 8,400 built across all Ausf.G production it stands as the single most-produced armoured fighting vehicle of the entire Wehrmacht. Armed with the long 7.5cm StuK 40 L/48 gun, it served as both an infantry-support assault gun and, increasingly, an effective tank destroyer on every front. This kit represents an early-production Ausf.G, built before later-war simplifications and the addition of the coaxial machine-gun shield became standard.
Dragon's 1/72 kit captures the StuG III's low, casemate-hull silhouette with crisp slide-moulded panel lines, the distinctive early-pattern cast or bolted mantlet, and a finely rendered main gun barrel — detail levels that set Dragon's small-scale armour apart from simpler quick-build kits.
Supplied as an injection-moulded styrene kit with a decal sheet for authentic Wehrmacht unit markings.
Given how widely the StuG III served, this compact kit is an ideal centrepiece for any 1/72 German armour collection or Eastern/Western Front diorama.
