Dragon 1/72 Military - 1/72 Sdkfz 251/2 Ausf C Rivetted - D7308

The Sd.Kfz.251 was the German Army's standard armoured half-track of the Second World War, and the 251/2 variant was configured as a mittlerer Schützenpanzerwagen (mortar carrier), fitted with an 8cm sGrW 34 mortar firing rearward from the open troop compartment to give Panzergrenadier companies their own mobile, protected close-support firepower. This Ausf.C rivetted-hull example represents the earlier production standard, before Sd.Kfz.251 construction was simplified to welded plate joints on the later Ausf.D — a detail that gives the model a distinctly different, more heavily riveted hull surface than most 251 kits.
