About this kit
This kit depicts the Sd.Kfz. 251 Ausf. C half-track fitted with the Wurfrahmen 40 - launch frames mounted on each side of the troop compartment that carried and fired 28cm or 32cm rockets. The weapon gave infantry support units a mobile, if short-ranged, barrage capability, and its distinctive whistling rockets earned the vehicle the nickname "Stuka zu Fuß" ("Stuka on foot").
Dragon's 1/72 kit reproduces the rounded, riveted Ausf. C hull along with the launch-frame racks and rocket projectiles in slide-moulded detail, capturing a distinctive wartime field-improvised weapon system rarely seen on a standard half-track.
A decal sheet is included for authentic German markings, alongside full instructions for assembly.
An eye-catching, unusual subject that stands out from conventional half-tracks in a 1/72 German support-vehicle collection.
