About this kit
The Sd.Kfz.251/10 was a specialised variant of Germany's ubiquitous "Hanomag" half-track, built on the Ausf.C hull and modified to carry a 3.7cm PaK36 anti-tank gun mounted directly on the open cargo bed in place of the standard troop-carrying rear compartment. Issued at the rate of two or three vehicles per panzergrenadier company, it gave platoon leaders an integral anti-tank capability that could keep pace with mechanised infantry during offensive operations.
Dragon's kit reproduces the sloped, riveted Ausf.C hull with its distinctive rounded nose plate, along with a fully detailed 3.7cm PaK36 gun, mount and shield positioned in the open troop compartment. Individual track links, detailed road wheels and the vehicle's characteristic split windscreen and stowage boxes are all included.
Decals for period-correct Wehrmacht unit markings are supplied along with a full instruction manual, and photo-etched parts add fine detail to the gun shield and stowage racks in typical Dragon fashion.
A useful and characterful addition to any panzergrenadier or half-track collection, illustrating how German mechanised infantry integrated anti-tank firepower directly into their formations.
